These feel like lumpy muscle tissue. They are only behind the wither area on both sides. Riding/not riding and saddle fit doesn't change it.
I'm trying to attach a pic.

what works for me for uploading pictures is to put it on Facebook first then save from Facebook and post here. FB resizes pictures and then I don't have to figure out how to do it on my computer.

I use a CE pad with fleece. I also have a felt pad. This has happened once before. He does act cinchy but is great to ride and work. Also, he's had epm before and the last time it happened was during that time. He wasn't being ridden then. I haven't been on him in 2 days and they haven't gone away.

So these arent there all the time, hummm I was thinking mybe your pad could be the cause but I dont think so. But they look like welts of some kind. Maybe he could be sensitive to the felt pad, I dont know just thinking to myself, lol...
