A high cantle...they give me added security and I like how they kinda cup my behind. I ride pretty straight with my feet underneath me and I feel like that fits my style best. I dislike pro riders because I feel like I'm sitting on the cantle. I also don't like the ground seat in most low cantle saddles, they are too wide for my hips.

I generally like a 4" over a 5" because I like to be able to move around some and feel trapped when everything is tall and surrounding me lol. That being said my most favorite saddle ever was an old circle Y barrel saddle that had a 5" cantle but the seat was bigger than my little kid self needed at the time so I think that affected how it rode

Definitely high. For me a 4" or taller. Tried a 3 1/2" (Double J) and I always felt like I was going over the back end of it no matter what horse I rode. I tried to ride different and sit different, but that saddle just did not suit me. I've had really good luck with Courts barrel saddles and Circle Y barrel saddles for having a comfortable, higher cantle.
