Ok, still having issues with saddle fitting. My mare is chunky. Her back is fairly wide and flat, she is not mutton withered, but doesnt have much which causes alot of saddles to bridge. My billy cook for example, would fit perfectly if she has higher withers... any advice?

allen ranch is the brand, they make a bunch of different styles of saddles. If I had the money I would totally try one they are beautiful and there's a few girls on here who have and love them.

Yes martins make a flat bar, but they are a special order.

With that being said, Martin saddlery will work with you till you are completely satisfied with your saddle.

I sent back one as the seat changed in the 2015 models, I didn't know this ordering mine, and when I rode in it I absolutely hated it, I am getting a 2014 style tree put in it.

Gullets, I have an 11 for a whiskey barrel mare in a flat tree, a 10 flat for one slightly narrower, a regular 10, and a 8.5 for my more thoroughbredy type horse, but it is too wide for my 3 yr olds.

I have a 10.5" gullet flat bar. It is great! Cheryl is a great resource about the flat bar saddles.
