| After you have a confirmed pregnacy and a viable, transferable embryo you will be looking at approx $3500-4000 dollars to get a preggo recip mare.
Prior to that is all dependent on your repro vet and stud fee.

Location: Where its cold and hot | We used Royal vista SW. Cost about $4500 on their end (use of a recip mare, implanting the embryo, board until we could pick her up, ultrasounds, ect) and probably another $1K on our vets end (AI, ultrasounds, flushing, shipping the embryo). They were excellent t to work with, recip mare was a sweetheart as well. |

Location: College Station, TX | Next year will be my first year doing an ET, but I'm using a local repro specialist that handles the whole thing start to finish and owns the recip herd, he quoted me 3000-3500. |

Location: Adopt a homeless pet - www.petfinder.com! | I would also recommend Royal Vista Southwest. They bred my mare this year for me. It wasn't for ET - she's carrying it, but I think that their prices are very reasonable, and they were very nice to deal with espcially since I'm a newbie with only one mare and have never bred a horse before! From office staff up the vets they've been great to deal with. I'll be taking my mare back for them to foal her out in the spring.

Location: Duvall, WA | OK here's a silly question but I've always been curious: Can you ship an embryo? If the recipe mare is not in the same area as the mare. In the same way we ship semen. . . |

Yep! We are in MN and had the embryo shipped to Royal Vista in OK. |
