I went to neurologist that they referred me to. He sent me for 4 weeks physical therapy, did that, went back to him today to find out what he wanted to do about fixing my back bulging disc. He said I was released to go back to work and for me to take Tylenol and exercise at home and pain would eventually go away. What can I do about this I can barely walk. I was pain free before I hurt it.

I would think that since you still are in pain with the bulging disc he would want to see about a different type of therapy.

Are you currently on workers comp? Or FMLA?

If you currently have insurance, I would see your primary care doctor and get a referral from him to see a specialist. I can't imagine having to "work through the pain" as this current doctor is saying, especially when it comes to your back.

Thanks everyone and I do not have insurance. But I can pay for the dr visit but not the specialist. I think I'm going to tell the worker comp lady I want a second opinion

At least with our employees you sign a release stating if you get hurt and claim work comp you agree to go to their designated doctors. If the work comp doctor has released you, I would say the best thing for you to do is to call the work comp insurance adjuster and your work to explain the situation. If you don't get any response you may need to get an attorney.

The nurse should review. The dr should not have released you with that type of pain and symptoms. Ask for another MRI and Dr. You are entitled to that. Do not pay personally for a Dr. Also here in GA an attorney is not provided. I would ask for the above items. If they are not provided and quickly meaning in two weeks get an attorney. They will see you for free and get you the careyou need.  You need to be taken are of

I had an Mri and went to the Neurologist they found for me he's the one telling me the pain will go away just don't know when. I have the Mri disc

I suggest reporting the surgeon to the college of physicians for incompetence.

Wcb doesn't care about pain, as pain is subjective, it cannot be measurable.

I also suggest since you have no insurance find a lawyer, get a free consultation and go from there.

Also since you have been cleared for work, you need to go. Make sure all your coworkers know you can't do anything, and when the pain gets too bad go home, because then you can say you tried.

Herniated discs with proper physio can resolve and it can take up to two years.

Ask the case worker to see another dr. Tell them you really want to work with them. No answer in two weeks. Get an attorney.
