I finally got my new coats the other day and was wondering if I could put anything on the rough out to keep it from staining or picking up the color from my jeans? TIA

Same. I've only had some dye come off on my saddle once but after the next time I rode it was gone.

I just don't ride in jeans for my everyday riding. I ride in cheap sweats or yoga pants. Then I'm not staining my saddle, wearing out the rough out or wearing out my jeans. Best way to clean and roughen up the rough out is with raw steel wool in a circular motion.
