I am too short to reach the 4th or top saddle rack in my trailer and the 3rd one is a struggle. Short of buying a different trailer with rear walk in tack is there a solution? I have looked into purchasing an electric saddle rack but the available ones make me skeptical of their practical usage.
My rear tack is collapsible so wondered if it could be modified some how to make saddle rack accessible from horse compartment?

I just use a stepladder. I also make sure to put the lightest saddle on top, usually my daughter's english saddle.

I do use a step stool but it is still hard. And I put the lightest barrel saddle on top.

I'm 5'2" too. I can't ever reach anything. Always love where some trailers put the bridle hooks, geez, you'd have to be 6' + to reach them.

I use a water bucket turned over.  My racks were modified to store a small generator under the racks.  There is a 2nd 'floor' over the generator section.  It's a perfect compartment for the water buckets, a tool box and another bucket with all my brushes and scrapers.  I just open the tack door and slide the bucket out onto the ground.  I'm 5'2" and my youngest daughter is shorter than that.  We often climb the bucket and 'shelf', holding onto the saddle rack in order to reach the bridles hanging on the door.  NONE of the tack can be reached from the ground it seems.

I know the stuggle. Find a nice tall person. I have a 2009 Sundowner with a swing out saddle rack and I have the same problem. I'm 5'2 and the top rack is a good 2-3 feet above my head. My trailer has a ramp and even standing on the ramp it's way up over my head. My dad is 6'1 and bf is 6'4 so I just let them do it.

I can't reach the top one so my husband keeps his rope saddle on it. I hate when I have to unsaddle his horses because I literally have to put the 6486934 lb saddle on top of my head, heeeaaavvveee it up there and hope it makes it before my arms give out.

Makes me feel like I'm 8 years old again.
