What angers me is neither of them do anything special for long term customers. All of the great offers are to new customers. The best bet might be to switch every 6 months!! We have been with Directv for ages.

I agree with you on nothing for long term customers. I have had Direct TV since 1997 also. I have paid for everything, dish, receivers all of it. When my bill got up to $125, I çalled to cancel. The cut my bill in half, guaranteed for two years. I guess I will stick with them for awhile

We do this too! Threaten to switch and they will cut your bill or throw in movie channels.
