Hey y'all, so I was wondering if y'all had any book suggestions? Im not a big reader but Im forced to read in english class. I was wondering if y'all knew any good books about barrel racing and people following their dream of rodeo. I read a few and those seem to be the ones I like best. It can be online or a actual book. Thanks!

I read A Thousand Tomorrows by Karen Kingsbury many years ago, and I thought it was good.

It's not barrel racing or rodeo, but The Eighty Dollar Champion is a great nonfiction book about a show jumping horse that was purchased for $80 and became a national champion. I cried at the end.

I also liked A Thousand Tomorrows and the other book about those same characters by Karen Kingsbury. Those two are rodeo-themed and really good.

A Thousand Tomorrows and Beyond the Clouds - Very good books!! I have them both and would be willing to ship them to you.. Send me a PM if you're interested. I was going to donate them to the library. I get so many books collected, I should start a library! LOL And there's a series about a ranching family that's very good - 10 or so books by Catherine Anderson - The Kendricks and Coulters and then it branches off into another family (The Harrigans) - really really good books! They're not barrel racing, but ranching, horse training etc....

ETA - The Catherine Anderson books may not be appropriate - depending on your age...
