We bought ours about 4 months ago.  13ft lq 3 horse with a slide.  I haven't hauled horses in it yet, but we have camped in it 4 times and used it for overflow for the holidays.  We love it so far.  It hauls great.  We bought it off the lot and there aren't any plugins in the slide or up in the gooseneck.  I didn't notice this until we used it.  The escape door has the Bauer latch so you can use the door like an rv door, which we love.  We come in that way and use it as a mud room.  All of the windows are big in both the lq and the horse area.  I think the newest one have the screen door that rolls up to the side instead of swinging out.  That's a nice feature (ours is just the swingout).  If you get the power awning you can't adjust the angle of the awning like you can with the manual ones.  Think about if you want to have it prewired for a generator.  It's expensive, but so nice to just push the button from inside.  I'm not sure if you can have it wired after it's built or not.  Ask if it will fit a queen bed or just a full.  Ours has cabinets by the foot area that makes it tight with a queen.  I think they have done that a bit different.  I love the storage in it.  The shower is bigger than my other trailer and I didn't realize how nice that is until I used it!  The dropdown windows and doors all have grease zurts(sp) which is nice.  Our old trailer didnt have those and it should have.  I can't wait to use it this spring and summer.  Good luck in your shopping!

Lakota are nice looking trailers and they are very popular back east...they are the mid price range for what you get.   I've seen lots of them, but unless it was the only thing I could buy I wouldn't for the fact they've only been around I think for less than 5-10 years.   For the price of trailers I would want a manufactures to be well established like 4Star, Hart, Bloomer, Elite etc.   There are so many different brands of trailers.  Also the blue book for trailers doesn't even have Lakota listed.   I know this for I've been looking at trailer and researching the blue book for the different brands, Lakota was one that I wanted look up for resale value.

My buddy bought a new Lakota with slide and fireplace.  Its been used to haul to rodeos with her kids and for herself.  Its only 2 years old and this past summer I noticed it had rivets popping out of the aluminum sheets.

Did you look up underneath the openings at the front of your gooseneck? Hard to explain but I finally found our plugs at the head of our bed up there to the left and right of the center cabinet.
