Mine are "mutts" but they do have one particular mutt on their papers that sent me looking for them. Not really "mutts' per say but not your typical breeding if you go looking for a barrel horse but fell in love with their dam, tried to buy her after starting the gelding as a 2 year old, ended up going back and buying his full sister and then went to the well again and got the half sister out of the same mare. The gelding I have ran gymkhana on, barrels, competed in cutting, reined cow horse and ranch horse versatility...that 's him in the picture as a 4 year old with about 15 days on cows.

I have an 8 yr old appendix that is a grandson of Frenchmans guy. He has a really good mind. He is both laid back and anxious (in a good way). I am still trying to get with him....hopefully this year I can step it up and not look so much like a monkey on his back!!

My retired gelding is mainly cow bred....Cutter Bill is his grandfather. I miss running this horse!!

1. My main horse is a 13 year old gelding sire by Hot Dasher and out of a daughter of FWF (also a granddaughter of Bugs Alive in 75). 15'3 and sorrel-looks pretty much identical to Hot Dasher. Was trained by Liana DeWeese. Very nice boy! Quiet! Still tapping into his speed. 2D/3D currently but was running in the 1D/2D a few years ago when I ran him. I had s baby and just started back this year so I am still getting in the groove.

2. 14 year old palomino dun gelding that is Fisher Ranch bred. Blondy's Dude and mainly foundation otherwise. 16'1 and big! Just an awesome guy. Runs 4D usually.

My 4 year old is a sorrel mare, granddaughter of Strawfly Special on the top and PYC Paint Your Wagon on the bottom. She is a real beauty to look at even though she is boring sorrel:) Totally chromed out and she knows it! She takes everything in stride and I really lucked out with her! I am hoping to futurity her here in Canada this spring. She has had 5 weeks off as a little vacation before I start hauling her. I don't need her to win every futurity I take her too, I am looking long term barrel horse not just futurity. I really enjoy her and cant wait to see how she does in the spring!!

He'd rather work a cow than just about do anything, including eat. I started taking some reining lessons on him as a 3 year old before I started patterning him for barrels, pulled him out of the trailer and the old cowboy says "oh, honey, he is kind of big to be cutting cows on..." he was already 15.3 and about 1850 lbs. I laughed and told him I didn't want to compete, I just wanted to get a good stop and lead change on him and mess with cows to give him something to do before I started pattern work. After the second day of some roll back work he says "lets put the big SOB on a cow and see what he can do.." Took to it like a duck to water. For the next year he kept asking me when I was going to quit chasing cans on his horse and put him on cows. After i got my little mare going on barrels I sent Tucker to him for 30 days. Best thing I ever did for him.
