Veteran Posts: 144 Location: East TN	I'm sure this has been a topic talked about multiple times BUT Who do you all use to insure your horse(s) ? What are their rates like? DO you pay monthly, yearly?

Rad Dork Posts: 5218 Location: Oklahoma	I am currently with Markel for one horse (will be changing) and Plains Horizon for another. I think my Plains rate is 3.5 for a competition horse. I just pay it annually.

Tried and True Posts: 21185 Location: Where I am happiest	We have Wilkins. They are 3.1 % of insured value and includes $5000 colic surgery. Flat fee of $375 a year for $7500 major medical. They also accept payments.
