Trying to compare healthy coat, DAC oil or cocosoya. I have a 19yr old appendix gelding. He's not thin now just looking to add a little fill back in to his hips and top line coming off winter. Would like something I could feed year around without making him too hot in the summer.

I like cocosoya oil. I will say that I like rice bran for toplines on older horses. That and a good source of protein like alfalfa.

I like both of those oils but if it's a price factor then the coco soya is $10 cheaper. It also has all the omega fatty acids and I think it smells way better, I use both and think they both work equally as well

personally, i like the cocasoya oil. it has never changed any temperments in my girls, I can feed it all year, and its not breaking the bank.  IF you decide you need a little more, I have added flax seed. 1/2 cup once a day and they look the best they ever had...

?Plus i have a really picky eater, and i swear, if i put cocasoya oil on the cat, she would eat it lol

My somewhat picky mare wouldn't eat the full dose of the cocosoya oil

DAC oil! It also has the Omega fatty acids. 2 cups of oil is equivalent to 4.5# of rice bran.

Cool Calories, its dehydrated oil in granular form. Cheaper, no mess, you use way less, and its 99% fat.
