Does anyone have it in their stalls or wash racks?? I plan on getting it put in my trailer and I am wondering what all I want to get a quote for. We're in the process of renovating my barn and working on converting some old dog kennels into a wash rack.

Can anyone compare it removable mats for a wash rack?

How does it hold up to the elements? The wash rack would not be covered.

Has anyone had it applied directly over dirt floors? My barn floors are dirt, but some of it is shifty.... not sure it would be worth the trouble.

I was just quoted $1350 to have it installed in an 8' wide Lakota 3H. I didn't mention mangers though so maybe that's a little high since the whole floors isn't a true 8' wide. I won't have the trailer in my possession until April anyways so I was just asking for a ballpark to save towards.

Patrick Smith has a wash rack at his place done in it and it looks amazing.
He also had the outside of his tack room done and it looks like it has held up well from all the wear and tear but the brand in it has faded out.

Im not sure how it would hold up on dirt??

Thank you! I was quoted $2k on a 4H with 18" mangers last spring, but I think that dealer marked it up... but probably close to the ballpark for my 4H!

I read last night that APHA members get a 10% discount.... I think it's well worth the $40 membership fee!

Thank you!!! My soon to be wash rack is concrete, but the barn "stalls" are on dirt, but covered from the elements.

Thanks for info!!

I'm glad to see this thread. I think I'd really like to have it put on a wash rack area. I would love to do it on my stalls too, but I imagine it would be crazy expensive.

But I really love it in my trailer! I am so glad not to be dragging mats anymore.

That sounds EXTREMELY high compared to what I paid for Equiflex April of last year. Might check around with different compaines. Polylast isnt the only one out there.

I've never heard of equiflex - is it comparable in quality, thickness, longevity etc? Seals the aluminum floor? I'll look into it but I know so many people happy With Polylast that going a different direction makes me nervous

I just called the EquiFlex guy last week - what a nice guy!!  We visited for over 30 minutes on options and he answered all of my 854037 questions about the product.  I'm going to do the double thick floor in my LQ trailer.  GOOOOODDDDDDD BYE you stinking, heavy, pee-trapping mats!

Yes it is a great company. Look them up on Facebook, Equiflex Flooring LLC. Lots of pictures there and they have started up 2 other main dealerships since I had mine done so they are growing. Super nice guy and easy to work with. I have NO troubles or complaints with mine. Have has it almost a year and used it hard and it still looks brand new. The pic I posted of the washrack is Equiflex.

KBolt... I remember us talking about the equiflex a few months ago... do you know if they travel? I'm in SE OK. Do you know where the new dealers are located?

He came from Weatherford to Odessa to do mine, just has to have a few set up around the area at the same time. You are probably even closer to him than me.
Equiflex Flooring is Tyler Shelstad who did mine.
There is a dealership called Outlaw Treadz in south texas, and Dakota Treads in Sturgis SD per their facebook. :)

Thank you... hopefully going thru Weatherford in a month or so to pick up a saddle.. might be worth taking the trailer with me and dropping it off!!

I'm not on FB, but I had my sister in law get the number from them.

So the ballpark quote from equiflex was around $800 vs $1350 from Polylast.

However equiflex said they have a 2 year warranty on "factory defects and workmanship".

Polylast has a 10 year warranty against delamination of the flooring from the trailer floor.

That's a big difference to me and worth quite a bit when talking about a trailer. Wash bays, stalls, aisles are a different deal in my mind.
