Please without naming any names! I'm not bashing anyone, just curious. What are the benefits of using a light mask to regulate the cycle of a mare? And would you use one or are there side effects? Thanks :

The masks I have seen do not regulate the mare, they strictly mimic the daylight that brings/tricks mares into cycling earlier in the year. The benefit of the mask would be your mare could stay outside with the herd or just outside period vs having to be brought inside under lights every night.
They can also be put on show horses to get then to shed their winter coat in December/January vs April/May.
