| Does anyone recommend a GREAT farrier for me? I am at my wits end. Does anyone know how to properly shoe in NORTHEAST Texas? Please list names or pm me. Thank you! |

Location: Probably On the Road to the Next Barrel Race! | There are lots of good farriers in NE Texas...I recommend Randall Wilson from Tyler 903.521.6180. Don't know what part of east TX you want, but a VERY good forge farrier works at Dr. Todd Laugherys office out of Athens. Todd's number is 940.367.8475...pricey, but i've heard good things. You can call Royena Clifton near Alba, her husband Kevin shoes, and she is a top barrel racer. I'm sure HE is good! His number, well, hers, is 903.474.3160. Good luck! |

Location: East Texas | John Salem is who works at Dr Laughreys some, and he's is great. He has fixed my mares feet and finally got them where they need to be. He works at Dr Laughreys on Mondays. |

| I agree with John Salem. He only trims mine because they are only pasture pets but he fixed there feet after another farrier almost crippled one for life. So glad I have access to John. He really knows his stuff! |

Kevin is a great farrier! He did my barrel horses for years when I lived close and always kept them in top shape! |

| Thank you everyone! I have had it with my current shoer. I have used MANY over the years and they all start out on their best behavior and then get sloppy even when I gripe and moan about how the horse's foot looks. |
