Location: United States | If a horse is sore in the hind end only one direction, BEAUTIFUL - PICTURE PERFECT the other direction, front end is ruled out with blocking and radio graphs, Would the lameness be the push off leg or the driving leg? There is nothing to block. I have not had an EL2 to pick up on something the eye cant.

| Mine was the outside leg when turning left, rights were beautiful. Finally found a torn suspensory when he came out of a run 3 legged lame. Many vet visits in the year prior could not find it, he was never lame or had swelling.

Location: United States | Thanks for the responses. Last year we injected her hocks and stifles. After no improvement we injected her knee and it took a bit of training to get her back to using her body correct and she went to running very competitive. So, we assumed it was ultimately her knee. This year we just injected her knee and she is working worse. So, I spoke with my vet and we suspect its right hind, probably stifle (which is why she is working to poor to the left). She stops great which leads me to believe its not sore hocks. She has no back soreness, no SI pain when palpating. Tuesday she is being diagnosed so I am sure I will be posting again for support and suggestions. Thanks everyone. Cant wait to have my horse back again. |

| does the horse tumble in rear, that is a sign for stifle. my horse did this after spending about 10 k in vet it was epm. cross one rear foot over the other foot if her sttands there that is a neuro sign, do front feet too. also, stand paralell to his hip grab his tail and pull to side he should pull back, my horse like to have fall over, once treated he did not do that. |

Location: United States | I'll keep an open mind until she is diagnosed, but she is a TOUGH solid mare with no back soreness. Her past treatments that lead to success point to a right hind lameness, and since she is a huge stopper it makes sense to investigate that darn stifle. Thanks everyone. If it quacks like a duck and waddles like a duck, its probably a duck. |

My mare is incredibly stoic. The doc at Rood and Riddle commented on that. She did not show a hint of back soreness, even when the chiro worked on her. X-rays are cheap ways to cross out the guess work. |
