I am thinking about feeding this to one of mine because I want to keep her on a preventative program, plus just overall wellness, but I have to be really careful with her because she is not lacking in the energy or spookiness department!

I fed it to my very hot headed barrel horse. He definitely felt good but I never felt that he got crazier or more hot. I feel like he worked better because he felt better. He was on the CJ. I fed 1-2 scoops a day maintenance. I have heard people say it made their horses hot but I have seen too good of results not to feed it. From personal experience, the horses that got "hot" on it were horses who were cooped up in stalls and not exercised regularly and with extra supplements it wasn't doing them any favors. I do think the horses need to be able to get worked and exercise.

I've heard several people say it made their horses hot, though it only made one of mine hot.  For the money, I think Renew Gold is a better supplement because it doesn't make them hot and has a lot of flax seed (no GMO, too).   I switched about a year ago and will not change - great results with the Renew Gold!

I'm feeding it, along with Renew Gold.  My horse did not get any hotter after adding.  I'm contemplating quitting after either 6 months or a year.....I want to see if his skin conditions get any better this summer while he's on PP so I might stick it out the whole year to see if I want to continue to stay on it. As of right now I'm not totally impressed but I felt that my horse looked good before putting him on PP.

I fed it to 6head never made any hot but did get the much results visibly after 6months. Switched to Exceed6way and get like I got more results visibly. Switched one horse to Curost and felt like I got even more results. Currently none of them are getting anything beyond RG and all the grass they want. (Besides the Curost guy he's still getting all the alfalfa he can clean up in addition to the hay)

I've fed it to quite a few different horses over the years.  Didn't make any of them hot.

Yes, we had one go nuts on it. Stopped the Platinum and he was fine.

Yes one of our geldings was extremely hot on it.  It hasn't affected any of our others.  We asked our vet and he said some horses are hot on it.

Besides the anecdotal rumors, I am interested by what in Platinum is theorized to make a horse hot? I would think that 1-2 ounces of anything accept meth would not have this effect.

I have never had one get "hot" on it - more energetic, yes, but not hot.

If you go read their recommendations, one scoop is general maintenance. If you feed the "barrel horse" or working horse recommendation, it is several scoops.

When traveling to compete, and I wanted more pep in the horse, I fed 3-4 scoops once a day before competing. With all that in mind, feed less if you feel the horse is getting hot on the supplement.

FWIW, if you can afford it, PP is a great supplement. I fed it for years until I started pricing add ins and went with another company to fit my budget.

I fed it one time to two horses and they went bonkers one even jumped a fence. They were idiots!!! I decided it wasn't for me. I am sure its different for each horse.
