I would like to hear about the tendencies and traits of own get of Ronas Ryon, especially running barrels. I haven't rode one and there aren't many in our area. Thank you!

Fast horses with great minds.  My dad owned a gelding by Ronas Ryon when I was growing up.  Super nice horse.  Cross well with Turny horses like FWF and FG. ie. Firewaterontherocks, Guys Real Deal.

I have a own daughter in my broodmare band she was a 1-D barrel horse and AA herself. She's 21 this year and you would never know it. So far she's produced 1-D gelding by Driftin winner and has a really nice 3yo by a Redmaker stallion. I crossed her on a cowbred stud the first year I had her and she just had a outstanding filly by Blazin Jetolena. I bred her back to Notenough Firewater but semen was crap (5%) when it got here so doubtful she took will find out next week. I would take another in a heart beat though. This mare is one of my favorites and I love the mind her foals seem to have.

I have been around some own daughters and they were quirky and not personable. To the point we have passed on a few daughters and others that were out of daughters. One I would take a chance on would be Firewaterontherocks. But I think FWF can cross his great mind on anything.

I have had 2 mares out of daughters of him and loved both. Very willing and easy to work with, but both sires sides were known for that same quality so can't really speak for which it came from. One I kept and has a Shawne Bug Leo baby this year, and will have a Dashin Dynamo next year so hopefully line breeding Ronas Ryon goes well!

Totally agree with this.  I had a daughter of Ronas Ryan and she was awful, counterfeit and not to be trusted in the stall.

That said, I also had a granddaughter of Ronas Ryan mixed with Go Dick Go and that was an excellent minded and very talented horse.

Here is the pedigree on mine http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/magic+in+the+dance

I would be curious to know how the ones that were counterfeit were on bottom side
