What kind of luck have you had getting your geldings to ignore your mares (or herd sour horse to ignore the rest of the group) when you take them somewhere??

I've hauled an older mare with geldings for several years. The mare is never phased but our geldings are a completely different (very annoying) horses when hauled with her. Whinnying, pawing and pacing until she gets tied back up next to him.....

I've got a few youngsters (another horse colt and filly) and don't want to fight this with them as well. The colt is already doing it to some degree, but he also is one that gets nervous/scared being alone - so I'm not sure how much of his "problem" is being alone or being concerned with the mare/rest of the horses.

It's not the end of the world but it's sure annoying and kind of embarrassing. Any suggestions are appreciated :)
