Has anyone seen this before? He's not lame and no heat. I politiced it on and off but it dont change. Hes had it a month and a half now. Seems to be the tendon? I was thinking a capped knee??

Is it soft or hard? It looks like maybe a case of tenosynovitis, although not a particularly common location.

Like Frodo said, this needs to be xrayed and/or ultrasounded to really know what you're dealing with. I know you said he isn't lame now, but that could change. Might have a chip floating around, or strained/ruptured tendon sheath
(above the knee is a very rare place for this injury, but it can and does happen
).

One of mine had tendonitis of his extensor tendon a few years ago
(looked kinda similar to this
). He swelled up above his knee and wasn't lame, but did short stride. My vet did an ultrasound for confirmation and recommended PRP and stem cell. He was on stall rest for about a year and is now just fine.
It'd be interesting to see what the xray and ultrasound say...
