Psalm 78 :34-56 continues telling the story of Israels's rebellion and God's faithfulness. Though God's people kept winning, " He remembered that they were but flesh" v 39 for He remembered that they were but flesh, a breath that passes away and does not come again." In His righteousness and holiness , God cannot ignore our sin. But in His grace(favor)" He chooses to forgive, even ate the cost of Jesus' blood. Today, THANK GOD that NO sin is beyond the scope of His grace.
For it is WITH God all things are possible.

V 38 But He, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity. And did not destroy them. Yes, many a time He turned His anger away, and did not stir up His wrath.
