Anyone know if it's harmful if a dog eats a calming cookie? I don't think he ate a whole one because it was too chewy and he couldn't get it off his teeth. I pulled some of it out of his mouth.

I assume you are talking about the THE calming cookies?

If so, how much does he weigh? Unless he weighs 5 pounds he should be fine and should be nice and calm all night.

Thanks. He weighs about 45 pounds, so I think he is going to be ok. He got really upset because it was stuck in his teeth. Lol

A possum got in my feed room and ate the whole bag in one night and lived to tell the tale. I wasn't even upset because I hadn't found a horse that would eat them.

How funny!! Well,he made it through the night. Ha I guess what made me worry about it at first was he was acting like he was having a seizure. But,after watching him,I realized he was having a fit because it was stuck in his teeth really bad. He was just mad. I have a couple of horses that would eat the whole bag if you let them. :)

I feed a calming cookie to my dog on the 4th of July. It helps her relax with the fireworks going off

I also give two of our dogs calming cookies on the 4th of July and New Years Eve. The 20# dog gets less then half and the 50# dog just a little less then a full cookie.

Glad he's alright.

My 5 yr old boarder collie ate an entire sample bag, around 5 cookies. She also consumed part of the bag lol. They didn't slow her down much haha. She never got sick though.

My dog slept after a calming cookie.
When I haven't fed them in a while I have to force feed the horses. After a few days they gobble them up.

My border collie mix could probably eat an entire bag and not skip a beat. She went on a 13 mile hike with me on Saturday, took about a 10 min nap when we got home and then brought me her ball to throw. She's a mess.
