After reading the post on over/under priced horses, I'm confused on where to price my 3yo prospect. Well broke, picks up both leads on cue, big circles small circles, shoulder hip and rib control, soft in the face, big stop, rounded reverse, not on the pattern yet but she can do whatever drill you ask her, trail ride street ride no problem, 100% sound, 15.2-1200lbs, top side proven on the racetrack bottom side proven on both. Not sure if I'm allowed to list her pedigree or not. Only selling because of lack of time and inability to get her hauled as needed

"pretty" plays into it strongly. If its' a nice looking horse, well balanced and pleasing to eye (please take GOOD pictures, if you want top dollar...), my guess would be...ummmm....4500 to 5500. SO MUCH depends on just what exactly is on her papers...If I were you I'd spend another 30 days and get her patterned on barrels. Price goes up a couple thousand if they can hunt, rate, and stay collected in a turn. Which is to say, I would pay $7500 for a well bred well broke, nice-looking horse doing well on pattern, and possibly lightly hauled. Good luck!

When I'm uncertain about price range, I look at all the advertising sites I can and look at comparable horses. What are they priced at. Sometimes it helps. Sometimes not. If you're near or in a populated area, you may be able to ask more. If you're far from anywhere, you may have to ask less.
