Fixing up an older barn

Has anyone had experience with a fixer upper? I am about to begin fixing a barn that was once one of my family's rental properties. The pasture my 2 horses are in now does have a shed for them in their dry lot, however the pasture does not have a shelter and is far too large for them. So we are looking at moving them to this property where there is this barn, and 2 smaller pastures. My dilemma is how should I go about putting stalls up? I was thinking at first just using metal panels to make portable stalls until I put up kick board on the tin walls
(What is the best way to do that?
). Between the posts and the walls is 12", between the posts that would be the front of the stalls is 10".

We just got done remodeling an old barn. Ours has concrete footers and recessed walls. So we lined it all with 3/4" OSB, which will also work as insulation this winter. We did one stall as a 12x14 run out and another as a 10x12. We used pressured treated 2x6s for the divider wall and Tarter gates as stall fronts. We still have a tack room to close in.
If you want to message me your email, I'd be happy to share pictures. I am no good at attaching pics on here.

I'll send you a pm. I think we are going to try to tear out everything on the right side of the barn and make 3 stalls there. lots of fence work and other things to be done outside but I am excited. This will be the first barn I have had.

Good plywood is your best friend for the existing barn walls. It will nail or screw up on the support rails perfectly. If you use panals, you can just drill some holes and wire playwood to your panals so noone stick a leg through.
