| Anyone use any calming treats, etc for their dogs with anxiety that really works? He's only 10lbs so I'd need something that he could handle. He was on a generic form of Xanax but didn't see too much of a difference worth keeping him on it. I would like something not too pricey and very reasonable. Any ideas? Thanks! |

| My house dog has anxiety when left alone! I give her 1/2 of one of these each morning (she weighs about 20 lbs.) before work and it keeps her leveled out but not "druggy"!

Location: Montana | Our dog gets so nervous in cars, during thunderstorms, and with fireworks. They came out with a new product called Sileo, you get it from your vet. We have been meaning to try it, but so far we haven't found anything that reall works. We have tried natural remedies, anti-anxiety meds prescribed by our vet, but without a great deal of success, so I think our next step is this Sileo stuff. You give it like a paste, and on a 10 lb. dog, a tube of the past would probably last 8-10 times of use. Might be worth checking into. |

Location: Bennett, CO | Interested to see whats out there too.. We have Field Trial Labs.- You can compare labradors to QH's in many ways... 2 distinct types... Lay by the fire, wadle around show/english type ( Pleasure/halter horses) and the Field lines- Fire breathing athelets ( Barrel/race type)
Our dogs sometimes get so amped up at competitions, they fall apart at the line ( like some barrel horses come apart in the alley) and will creep or break ( go before they are allowed to)
Ive often wondered if the THE calming cookies would work |

Location: Where the long tails flow, ND | I have my dogs on the SA Formula and all my horses on Cur-OST, they are all fantastic. The adapt and calm works wonders on my horses so I can only imagine it would work for your pup!

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I'll ask about the Calming Cookies for dogs. I have samples so you could see how they work. They are made of natural ingredients so I would think would be safe for dogs. |

| Rescue Remedy for animals worked for our Toy Aussie. We tried everything from the Thunder Shirt to benadryl to Rx meds from the vet. The key for our gal is to give it as soon as she starts showing anxiety. We've noticed that she knows a thunderstorm is coming way before the clouds form. It helped through New Years and she will get it again during the 4th. They have a specific formulation just for animals. |

Location: Piedmont, OK | In the Zone by Animal Element can be used for any animal including humans. I have a customer who gives her dog 5cc of In the Zone for storms. and it is a bigger dog you could probably give 2 or 3 cc. |

| Thank you for all of the suggestions! I'll do my homework and see which is best, but I did look at the Bach original flower remedies and may try that. They seem reasonably priced too. My only issue is that I feel my dog falls under a lot of their categories and I would need to pick just one! |

My border collie ate 2 THE Calming cookies (got them off the counter at the barn, ate the rest of the plastic sample pack too) and I noticed a MINOR difference in her. Of course, she is a border collie and they are the definition of fire breathing athletes and I honestly don't think anything would calm her down except for working her little doggie booty off every day all day hehe.

Just let me know when you are ready! I'm going to give them a try. My old border collie could really use the Joint Health one. |

| Those of you who use Rescue Remedy, what form should I get? It looks like one of the cheapest options so I would like to try it first. I'm seeing that it comes in an oil you drop into their water, a cream, a spray, etc? |
