Location: Somewhere around here | What's the longest you had a horse on the market? Why did it seem to take so long?
I think the longest it took me to sell a horse was almost the whole summer, which isn't too bad. |

| Over a year...with two different brokers. A very nice mare. I ended up taking a huge loss on her just to get it over with. I ended up selling her for less than what I paid that year to get it over with. And the person who ended up getting her sold waived her commission. Someone got a VERY nice mare cheap!

Location: Royal J Performance Horses, AZ | I have a nice (now 4 year old) that been for sale since last year in August. Super broke, easy tog et along with. flashy nice conformation. STarted in roping, barrels, etc and have hardly had any bites. This is the longest I've ever had a horse for sale to be honest. Usually it takes a few months at most. |

Location: Idaho | I think the longest I've had would be about 6 months, but that is just because I am super picky about where my horses go. My current horse I technically have had for sale for quite a while, but I'm not all gung-ho about selling him mainly because I have put so much time into him. If people don't want to pay what I am asking for him, then I'm not going to stress. and I don't think he's overly priced either considering the market.
But yeah, probably about 6 months. And the majority of my horses that I have sold, still have the same owners I originally sold them to. I like to find forever homes, and I have a pretty good track record of doing that. |

Location: Jersey Girl | A year and a half. Was a quirky one-eyed trail gelding. Most wouldn't even look at him because he was missing an eye. His quirks on top of the one eyed made it hard....and I turned some buyers away just because it wouldn't have been a good fit. |

Location: Northwest Florida | The longest it has taken me to make a sale was a large pony I took in on commission for a friend. That sale took about four months. Due to his height he was ideal for a child, but was only four years old and needed a confident child due to his lack of experience. I think that scared most potential buyers away, but the first person who finally did come out purchased him, and they love him to this day. |
