So I can cross running against an NFR qualifier and champion off my list.  I was part of history last night and ran against Fallon Tayolr at the 1st Squad Tour event.  Gotta say my squad had a blast and it was a great event.
Our local rodeo girls took 1st place!  With some amazing runs and beat Fallon's squad.  The squad who took 2nd are local gals as well and we couldn't be prouder of them.

Thats awesome! I'm really warming up to her, and I like that she addresses the hard stuff, like nervousness and confidence. Do you have videos?

I like that she isn't a sore loser LOL
Way to go guys!!!!

Explain the payout to me? I was a bit confused. Did your entire squad split the cash or how did that work?

I ran to the arena to see her run and was late and only got her 3rd barrel, lol.  She hit the 2nd and 3rd but still ran the fastest time of the night.  A girl I run with every weekend ran clean only 2 tenths off her time, so that was sooo awesome!  Fallon ran a 15.7 and Katie ran a 15.9.  They had a 1 second penalty for each barrel instead of a 5 or a no time.  To keep everyone alive.
I got home about 12:30 a.m., and I'm super tired today and I'm only 3 hours into my day, but it was worth it.  I got to run twice for my entry because the darn timer didn't work my 1st run :(

The squads could be 2 to 5 people, it was 150.00 per squad.  They paid 3 squads, so technically 15 people got in the money last night.  100% payback, 1st Squad total to get 50%, 2nd place squad 30% and 3rd 20%.  Each squad got 1 check to split equally.  Not sure how much 1st paid, but I saw a pic of the 2nd place check and it was for 1200.00, split 4 or 5 ways.  We had 27 squads enter.  Most had 4 or 5 per squad.  They averaged the times by number of your squad.  There were a few zero's because of broken patterns.
One girl got launched when her horse broke into after she crossed the timer, and they let her regroup and run.  We thought that was great.

Oh yes! I do but have no idea how to get a video on here other than a link on youtube and I don't have a youtube account lol.
Yes she ran BabyFlo and it was very cool even though she hit.  I'd pee myself, lol  but I'd love to try something that fast just once!

I think it is so unique and wished there was one closer. We used to have a team thing called Midwest Match Race and you had teams from each state. It was fun to run that way. Sportsmanship, team work, support were all big learning factors.

I ran at 2 of the Mid-west Match races.  It was fun putting together a theme and matching outfits and cheering for a group.  Alot of pressure though, it's one thing to let yourself down in a run and a whole nuther letting a team down.  I think I puked before every run, lol.

I watched some of it live on FB. It looked like everyone was having a lot of fun cheering everybody on. This is the way it should be.

How awesome!
I also think it's great they let the girl run again.  Sounds like everyone had a blast.
