Calvary Bit With Chain..??!!

I have rode my horse off the track in this bit for a few days now and he really really seems to like it! Posting a pic wasn't working. He loves the chain mouth and the shanks swivel. he is the type of horse that needs to be set and rate at each barrel but then maintain forward motion and stay bendy in a turn. I was using gag bits which kept the bend, but not as much rate. Then Bits that rate he would get stiff in. Anyone use this bit? So far I am getting the best of both worlds!! Thanks!

I have a Mike Beers chain bit and it helped one of my horses a lot for a while but thinking back I think I should've just used it for barrel work and running. I think some horses can love it forever with whatever they are doing that day and others like it but end up feeling like it too much. In the end, I do think that type is a good bit and if it fits for your horse and their style then great!

I picked up a short shank Molly Powell chain mouth and I was amazed at the control I got on every horse!! My new go-to!!
