| Let me see if I can explain this in type! I shipped a bareback rigging to someone and paid the fees out of my PayPal. The fees were then drafted from my personal bank account, $38.05. The lady I shipped the rigging to reimbursed me via PayPal for the shipping charges, $40. My PayPal shows her deposit of $40 and the shipping fees of $38.05 leaving a balance of $1.95. Since the fees have already been paid out of my personal bank account, Paypal has essentially charged me twice, am I correct? How do you dispute an issue with PayPal internally? I found where you can "resolve a problem in our resolution center" but this is only to make a claim against a buyer or a seller.

Location: SE KS | Let me see if I have this straight the total of $38.05 came out of your personal bank account, she paid you back and paypal has your money $40. Sounds like to me you need to transfer the money from Paypal to your personal bank account.

| Nope, it's not there to transfer. It says I only have $1.95 to transfer.

You have verified the money came out of your personal bank account, bc it sounds like it didn't |

Me too! What I am trying to say is paypal took money out of my bank account as well as money out of my paypal account, charging me twice for the same purchase. |

I don't know if opening a dispute will help, as your not disputing the sale with the other party, but I'm not sure how to go about getting your $'s back!! |

I was able to find a contact center for them and emailed them after I posted here. They sent me an automated email about how to add or withdraw money, which is not the issue, you can't withdraw money that is not there. I then tried to call but gave up on the wait time. I will try to call them again when I have more time today. |

| Looks like on your bank account it still says processing??
Could it be a pending transaction still?
I use paypal everyday and have never had them take money incorrectly, very strange.
Edited to add, it might get sorted out if you wait the processing time on your bank account.
Im guessing that the transactions for shipping happened very close together, so you actually had the money in your paypal balance and took it out of there, and the pending charge on your bank account will disappear.

Location: In the Hills of Texas | It says processing so the transaction wasn't finished. Have you checked your checking account to see if the money had been taken out? When a transaction is finished it will say processed. |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | Go back on your paypal account and there is a contact box where you can call. It will give you a code number to give them when you do.
Help and contact is at the bottom of the page in the left hand corner.

Location: Kansas | I would just call. I've never had that happen to me and I've been using paypal for 8 years. They've always been helpful if I did have an issue and I called. |

Location: N Texas | Ok, I think I see what's going on here. Before this whole transaction, your Paypal balance was $0. You then used your Paypal account to pay for shipping, so it brought your Paypal balance to -$38.05. Since your account was zero, it took the money from your checking account to cover it. The money has been taken out of your checking account, but NOT posted to Paypal yet. Then the lady paid you $40 through Paypal, so it brought your Paypal balance back to $1.95 (-38.05 + 40). Once the transfer from your bank account posts, it will show a new balance of $40 in your Paypal account. You'll then either have that money to spend using Paypal, or you can transfer it back to your checking.
Everything is not done posting, so give it a little more time.

When you have a zero balance on PayPal it drafts from your bank account. This can take 7-10 business days. Your PayPal will be negative until it drafts completely. Sure, your bank account will show that the money is missing. But it takes 7 to 10 business days to show up in PayPal depending on your bank's server. I always try and leave at least $100 in my PayPal at all times. I have a PayPal debit card so I don't have to worry about transfers. I do about 10-15 transactions on paypal a day.

Thanks everyone for your responses! This seems like it's logical and since the transaction in my account is still pending it's probably what has happened. I had no idea it took so long for money transfers with Paypal! |
