My first thought reading their website, is the concept is ridiculous. Saying that athletes start in a forward stance...yeah, all those people are on the ground, on their own feet. They aren't balanced on a 1200lb moving animal, where tipping forward in front of your saddle is just asking to get dumped if that animal decides to suddenly NOT be moving forward.

I'd never heard of them until now. Yeah the analogy on the website makes no sense to me. I grew up hearing nothing but "heels down" so it would be so counter intuitive to me. Plus there's no traction on the actual stirrup. My foot would slip right out of it. But I'm sure someone loves them. Curious now too if anyone has rode in them?

Kelli Barichello uses them. She has had a phenomenal year, so they obviously don't slow her down.

I would like to get a pair to try. I'm not sure for everyday riding, but running barrels yeah - look at the toes on any barrel racing picture and see where they are pointing..so it makes sense.

I might get some just to see. I saw some girls had them on "backwards" so they were encouraging heels down, which is more comfortable for my psyche. As an ex-huntseat student and forever dressage student, the idea of toes down is entirely foreign to me.

My hauling buddy is sponsored by them. He ropes and runs mtd shooting very competitively in them.
They are not for everyone. He is a traditional roper style rider with his toes down in tight turns. I used them for a couple weeks and turned them backwards - they were ok, but just didn't fit the way I like to run and ride - they were a bit wide for my liking so I went back to my aluminum/rubber ones that came with my Martin.
