Elite Veteran Posts: 729 Location: south central usa	...that used to make saddles for Sipsey arena in Alabama? have a barrel saddle that only has the following stamp on it (in several places) saddle is approx. 10yrs old. any idea who the maker was/is? Whack and Roll Posts: 6342 Location: NE Texas	Greenville is literally the saddle capital of the world. We live just outside Greenville, and there are hundreds of small saddle makers there that make private label for other larger companies. Could be anyone. East Texas Saddlery is no longer in business though the building is still there. If you can post a picture of the saddle from the side, I might could send to a few friends who work in the business and get more information. Lots of turnover due to trades and lots of people who do work in their homes and bring in finished product early in the morning and during the night.

I have owned 3 East TX saddlery saddles and loved them ALL. Makes sense why they never answered when i called them.. :(

They also make the private label saddles for several other major retailers. I agree. Laredo makes Saddles for larger companies. This is a production made saddle. Not a handmade. Elite Veteran Posts: 729 Location: south central usa	i'll check with Laredo... we've owned this one for several years and the person we bought it from said it was ~$750 new which seems about right quality wise. figured it was "production" simply b/c of where it was originally sold new.
