Hello, I am looking to save some money on PowerPac. Wondering if I can use the Panacur Suspension 10%, 1 Liter is a horse and cattle dewormer for 5 days rather than buying the equine PwerPac? If so do I give the recommended Equine dose on the Panacur Suspension bottle? Or do I double it? From my research it looks like they treat the same things and are both Fenbendazole. Any information would be great! Thanks!

I also just noticed that Safe-Guard is also Fenbendazole. Any opinions on Safe-Guard vs Panacur? Thanks!

Fenbendazole
is the oldest marketed horse wormer for horses ever publicly marketed.
It is only for the 3 groups of round worms and does not kill them or
affect the eggs. It paralyzes the worms so horse can poop most of
them out of their system.
The sad part is .... these worms are immune to Fenbendazole but the drug
mfg has a brilliant marketing scheme which is dosing 10x the original amount
with huge profits.

If you are serious about worming a horse ..
worm with ivermectin
and 30 days later
worm with Quest

These two combined will give you the follow up on serious wormy horse
situations and kill every worm known to a horse and also will de activate
the eggs and thoroughly clear out the worm problem.

If you want to kill the 3 types of round worms only ... use any of the
wormers with the P WORD meds ... lol

Thanks so much for the info!  So just want to clarify, you don't feel that power pac does a good enough job?  Just do the ivermectin and quest or do those 2 after the power pac?

Thanks for all the information!

Money Savings would be...

PowerPac is around $65 per horse per 5 day treatment

Suspension is around $25 per horse per 5 day treatment if you do a double dose so 50cc per day. This is if you buy the 1000ml bottle.
