| Last night in Des Moines, 2 police officers were gunned down in what media is calling an ambush style attack.
Prayers for their families, pray the other officers can catch the perpetrator(s) safely, and prayers for our country. |

| Makes me sick.
There's been a rash of violence that makes me sad. When I moved here 3.5 years ago this stuff felt so shocking, now I feel like we hear about it weekly.
I'm glad I moved out of the metro area.

Location: Central Iowa | It was an Urbandale Police officer and a Des Moines Police officer. I graduated from Urbandale High School and have family and friends serving in both districts! Very Very sad news and a community I never thought it would happen in! Prayers to all who are involved! Very sad day for Iowa! I am glad they suspect who did it and hope that he gets what is coming to him very soon!

Location: north dakota | Such a sad tragedy. I saw the news report when I got off of work this morning. When I woke up and checked Facebook i learned that one of the officers killed was a class mate of mine when I lived in Iowa for a few years. He was a really nice mellow guy and left behind a family. |
