They are everywhere today at our place in East Texas. In the truck and around the shop. I sprayed a bunch with Raid. Round 2 tomorrow, I am guessing.

Β Whatever you do, don't use your vacuum on the little buggers. Β Mine stunk so bad I had to buy a new one!Β
Good tip for using the vacuum is to put a sheer stocking, or an old pair of pantyhose, over the end of the hose and vacuum them up. That will allow you to get rid of them
(we then dump them in a ziplock bag that has water and dawn dish soap in it
) without ruining your vacuum. This is what our exterminator recommended and it worked well. Like someone else said, lemon based cleaning products
(as well as peppermint
) work to deter them as well.

I had to pick up a horse at the trainer today so took the trailer to school. Went to lock the dressing room and it was full of those darn things. I was able to shake most of them off a halter which seemed to be their favorite spot. Darn bugs.
