So recently I have found 3 pozzi pro saddles that I like a lot. The only thing is is that they are a size 14. I usually ride in a 15 but I sure do have a lot of movement and not slot of sucurity. So a 14.5 tends to fit me a bit better. Could I get away with it with a 14? I like to feel very secure if that helps. Also do the gullets fit horses good? The gulletsbare standards for pozzi pros of that helps?

I usually ride a 14 and my Pozzi is a 13.5 and fits perfect. I'm glad I have a friend who is a dealer that let me ride a few or I would have ordered too big. From my experience- you can go down a half inch for a Pozzi and a whole inch for a pro (if you ever go that route!) I have a wide fit and a #10 tree. I don't have anything that a standard tree would fit, it pinched the shoulder off of everything I put it on. I like my 10 tree the best- it's the same as the wide with more flare at the shoulder. I have a finer boned mare that's smaller than the rest of my crew and the wide and the 10 fit her perfect with a 1" pad. I LOVE my double Js in case you didn't notice!

Agree with this. They definitely run big. If you like a 14.5" in any other saddle, a 14" Pozzi would probably fit you fine.

I'm going to be the lone wolf here and disagree.... I ride a 14" saddle normally and the 13.5 pozzi was a little tighter than I liked. So I ride a 14". They are all I ride... I have 2 standards and a 10 tree.. 4 of my 5 horses are a standard and my futurity horse is the 10... I had them all professionally fit and tend to have leaner thoroughbredy type builds. LOVE them. I think if you can possibly sit in some close to you that will help with your decision. Otherwise, they hold their value well and there are always several for sale! I had no trouble selling my 13.5 when I decided that it was hindering my riding more than helping it.

I think they do run a little big.  My 14 Pozzi seems a little roomier than my 14 G Bar G.  But that being said, my daughters 13.5 is too small for me.

I agree with you. Mine is a 14.5" and fits the same as other 14.5" saddles I've had. I love my pozzi. Best saddle ever.

You need to take into account the type of seat the saddle has.

If it is padded, I would say that you would require the same size seat. But if not you could definitely get a .5 smaller.
