I tried Raspberry leaves, putting copper in the water, Mare Magic and the depo shot on my mare and none of things made the slightest difference. I would love to know if Midol would work. My mare can just have came out and as soon as I put her in the trailer she is right back in! |

| Mare magic is Raspberry leaves. I have had some success with Regumate... Her heats were 3 days rather than 7 days... And no cramping... Now that she is off of it for winter she cramps like crazy last 2 days before she goes out. But she WORKS awesome even on bad days.. |

Location: God's country...aka TEXAS | Try performance mare by Oxygen. It works on a lot of mares that other things don't. |

| I removed all feed and supplements with soy in them on a mare this summer who was just crazy. She is 100% better, check your feed soy will affect hormones and is worse in some than others.

Location: SW North Dakota | After a thorough exam, our vet suggested hormonal microparticles. I'll have to look for the real name but it was from BET pharmacy. WORKED GREAT and she had been a miserable HO. She was SOOOOO much nicer to haul, even keeled, softer eyed, happier and more relaxed, but after a year, my daughter thought the monthly shot was taking the fire out of her perfomance, so we stopped. It was like $140/month but really did work well. |

Location: NE TX | I have a mare that is ALL WOMAN too and does the same, doesn't take time to not cycle even in the dead of winter. I give medroxyprogesterone 5cc IM in her butt (I alternate cheeks each month). It doesn't take it completely away in the spring but she is MUCH more manageable during spring and is fine the rest of the year. Also have you had a caslicks done on your mare? It didn't help mine as much as it does others but it did help take some edge off. |
