Location: Missouri | I have never used OE products but love in the zone we have had excellent results. On think I like about ITZ is it does not make horse feel "drugged" but actually a little sharper. Average dose is 20 cc's -
We did have one that we had to give 30 cc's. It is a product that you play with the disease until you find what works for your horse! |

Location: Oklahoma | I've used both and they both work great but I've never used composed as a pre race past just before hauling and when I take buddy horses away from a horse that has separation anxiety and it really helped him him. I've used in the zone more as a pre race paste and I've noticed they do focus in a lot better. If you want something to help them eat/drink I'd look into equisure |

The OE is like magic paste.
I thought about rubbing it on my butt to see if I could fit into my jeans from my early 20's |

| Have you looked into Calmex-V by MVP? They currently have a Buy 3 get 1 Free promotion going on. I have used it on my mare during her futurity year and it helped keep her calm and focused. She was the type to get worked up waiting in a holding pen and the paste helped take the edge off of her.
They also have a Gastro-Plex paste (same buy 3 get 1 free promo) that girls are using before they trailer and when they get to the show. Having a happy tummy would help your mare eat and drink on the road I would think :) I started a gelding on the daily pellets and have seen improvements to his condition after the long 3 day races. Just my suggestions!
ETA: I tried the In the Zone on the mare mentioned above and saw no change.

Location: Sunny So Cal | I saw best results with THE calming cookies and THE electrolyte syringe. Does your horse respond better to Magnesium based calming products or Tyrosine? I felt like mine performed better on the tyrosine and didn't become dull. Also I like that their electrolyte because it is full spectrum and being a liquid it gets absorbed faster into their system than a paste does. |

Location: Alberta, Canada | For a pre-run paste - OE composed works great.
But if your mare is having issues with the hauling in general -- Equi-sure. If I could only have one supplement for the rest of my life it would be this one. My ulcer mare used to live on omeprazole and would go off her feed within 24 hours of being off. Equi-sure has completely replaced omeprazole for her. I dont have a horse that gets in a trailer without a dose. I keep a small bottle tucked in the inside pocket of my farm coat... if I have a horse that is looking colicky or having trouble eating or what have you, I dose them immediately and generally crisis averted within 10-15 minutes. It is a great supplement and I believe whole heartedly in it. My most recent success story with it is a mare I bought that is a VERY green 5 year old who has never been off the farm prior to my purchasing. She was causing me all sorts of grief, from general handling to riding. Decided to try equi-sure pre ride and I climbed on a completely different horse! |

I tried the THE Calming Cookies, and I couldn't get any horse to eat them. I even tried cutting them up and mixing them with oats. When I came back, the little bits of calming cookies were left in the pan.
They smelled good, so I tried a bite myself. I fell asleep and pooped my pants. |

Did you try the calming powder? You could put it in a syringe and give it to your horse that way or just mix it with their food. My horses are fat children and literally will eat anything you put in from of them. lol Also did you try the cookies when they had green powder on them or white powder? my friends horse wouldn't eat the ones that had green powder but when they changed them to white powder she at those fine. |

It's been a few years, but I think they had a whitish powder. I don't need them now, but I might try the powder if the need ever arises.
To be honest, looking back, I don't think the problem was my horse. It was me. I had to learn that if I stay calm and relaxed, my horse tended to stay calm. Some seem to have an uncanny way of sensing my butterflies and energy. |

That tends to be my problem too. Other people will ride my horse and have no issues at all. Then I get on and seem to get in the way. wa wa wa lol |

Location: Louisiana | I have used ITZ and maybe saw a difference. Maybe i was calmer bc of the product. Who knows. Neither of my horses are BAD, they both just get a little nervous before our turn. Likely due to my nerves.
I do have a tube of Composed a friend gave me to try. She said it wasn't enough for her horse, she gives him chlorpromazine. Mine isn't bad enough to need that so maybe the composed will do the job.
I just want him to chill out at the trailer when he doesn't have a buddy. |

| in the zone for sure- ive done a ton of research and I also have made a lot of changes dr. depoleo has a lot of material on his sight that I have followed one thing is I went to renew gold feed - because he says that soybean, wheat , molasses, corn, oats and probably a few other ingredients I have forgotten all aggravate a horse who tends to be ulcer prone- nerves and gate issues are definite signs- anyhow you can't hardly find ANY thing without all that junk in it especially soy- animal element products I know do not I have used plenty of them and they are great products- but my advice is don't use any feed that has any of this stuff in it and you will see a difference and use in the zone when needed and eventually you won't need to |

Location: on the fine line between insanity and geniusness | I am a HUGE ITZ fan!! I use it on dang near everything I haul. Some horses get more than others, but all the way around I love what it does for their focus. My old rodeo horse was also bad to haul. He wouldn't eat or drink without his buddy, ITZ knocked that out. My DTF gets an entire tube at the race to settle his nerves. I've had really good luck too treating mild ulcers with a tube a day for 5-10 days. I love that all animal element products are all natural with ZERO chemicals or fillers. |

Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | I just used Composed this weekend for the first time. I didn't use it for calming but more of a focuser. My gelding is calm as they come but he doesn't pay me a lot of attention. He just runs his pattern and is proud to be there. I can say he was a lot more focused on me than trying to socialize and run all over the pattern. Also if you think she isn't drinking enough you could add in OE Revive also.
