I am interested in buying a new saddle. I tried one when i went to her clinic this fall. I didn't ride it very long. I like it for the time i rode it. Does anyone have any experiences or comments about this saddle?

These came out in early 2016 I believe. It's built on the ultimate tree as far as I understand and the only difference is the facelift of cosmetics. Martha's saddles aren't very up to date IMO but this one seems to have a lot of "In" things about the appearance.

I personally would never buy a Circle Y because of how expensive they are. I could use the money for a saddle with way better leather.

HOWEVER, they are VERY popular here in N.Texas. Everyone seems to be talking about them everytime I turn around. Have yet to sit in one but I hear they are just like the ultimate only... better looking LOL

I love my original style Martha Josey but made the mistake of buying the Ultimate with the forward hung stirrups a few years ago,  Forward hung stirrups are not for everyone.  You can't pull yourself forward when you leave a barrel.  Very scary.  Couldn't get rid of it fast enough.

I bought one to ride while I was in between saddles one time and I was really surprised at how much I really liked it.  If I had bought a half size bigger, I wouldn't have sold it.  Mine had the wide tree in it and it fit my round little mare like a glove.  I didn't feel like the leather on the skirts was super great quality, and I can see where some would think the fenders may be a bit too far forward, but for someone who has trouble getting tipped forward or needs to sit more on their pockets like I do, or for someone who has a hip high, hard turning horse and you need a little more saddle to hold you in to help you push one all the way up into the turn, I think they'd love this saddle.

I love the roughout ones i've seen and i'd be willing to try another one, but would get a half inch bigger.

I am leaning into the turn and then getting left behind. My horse is a very strong turner. I've got to learn to sit down and then pull myself up after he turns. I wasn't sure about the stirrups but they helped me have more control of my body and not lean. I did notice the leather quality of the skirts.

I bought a Josey cash (ultimate tree but 9" swells and 5" cantle) and I love it. I've had a problem getting too forward and this saddle keeps me on my butt and super balanced. I've ridden Shiloh's, pozzis, merrils, and others and this is my favorite. I will say Josey does a great job designing the saddles to accommodate the rider but needs to get more up to date with horse fit..or possibly circle y does. It has NO flare at and doesn't fit my horse good. It's a wide for my wide mare but still digs into her shoulders. I'm taking it to a local saddle maker to have it flared and fitted.

I bought one this summer and love it! It is not quite as deep as the Ultimate, I rode both but it was harder for me to get up in the Ultimate. The Renegwas perfect and I rode in Ty's for two days before I decided
