Platinum Performance did nothing for my gelding with bad ulcers. I tried about everything on the market with no success for 5 years, and gate issues that were a nightmare. I can't tell you how many things my horse smashed my legs into trying to get away from the gate. He gets ulcers all the way up into his larynx, which is pretty bad. Three vets said he's the worst they've ever seen. I like Platinum, I give the leftover to my senior horse that is mostly a pasture pet due to an old injury and he does just fine on it. I have my barrel gelding on MVP products as they have helped more than the Platinum did. He is on the Exceed 6-way and Gastro-plex, which get eaten more than the Platinum did since it's a pellet. Within a couple weeks of the Gastro-plex my gate issues went from awful to ok and even went in willingly a few times the last time I hauled him. With every run he was improving and running harder. He gets December and January off so I'm excited to see how he comes back. Huge improvement though for him since I don't think I've gotten in the arena in under 2 minutes in years. I will swear by the MVP products, however they can get expensive, but I feel they are worth the cost. It has eliminated the use of ulcer paste during every run, which he would get the 3 days before the run, the day of, and a day or two after. That gets to be around $50 for each time I hauled him, which is a lot more than the cost of putting him on the Gastro-plex and Exceed 6-Way. Both are great supplements, the Exceed has the digestive support in it, but the Gastro-plex just adds a lot more punch for horses with digestive upset. If anyone would like more info please message me, I can give you info on new customer introductory offers!!!!

We have a gelding that started getting bad at the gate this fall. He would not go forward, and if you pressured him he would rear up. On the way home from a 3 day race I told my Hubby we have to get him on GastroPlex. I noticed changes with his willingness at the gate in about 2 weeks, and now 3 months later I have no issues with him at all! Occasionally he will be reluctant to go forward, but all it takes is a squeeze of my calves and he moves forward. Completely different horse.

This product is worth its weight in gold in my opinion. Glad it has helped you so much!! Mine tried to even climb on the hood of a truck to get away from the gate once, I was to the point of retiring him early at the end of the season. I was tired of years of fighting with him over it with nothing helping, I figured at that point it was just as much mental as it was physical and no matter what he'd just stay that way. He's only a 3D horse, 2D at small shows and it just wasn't worth the fighting anymore. I talked with a rep at a show and purchased some of the paste and tried it, by the end of the 3 day event the gate issues were half of what they had been. Even at regular places where he'd really be bad he was going in so much better. I would only have 10-15 seconds of issue time compared to once taking over 6 minutes to get in.

winwillows - 2017-01-24 12:48 PM As someone who has formulated and manufactured supplements, for many companies for many years, I can say a few things about equine supplements with authority. It is a very hard business to be in of you have high ethics. I got tired of trying to impress the need to make every product with formulations that were 100 active ingredients and made without fillers and trendy sales gimmicks. I found it easier to only produce for our own company rather than teach this to others. We made some great products under our guidelines for Absorbine and other companies that fit the need exactly as described. Other companies that asked about our consulting services while requesting smoke and mirror products were simply told that we could not put our name and reputation on a product that did not meet these simple rules. Many supplements on the market have very little or no effect other than to neatly remove money from your wallet. Many are formulated to meet current hot trends and misguided value rather than true effectiveness. That all being said, PP is one of the supplement companies on the market that actually puts in the bucket exactly what they say is in there. I do no work for them as to formulations or production, so I have no agenda here other than to point out that there are some supplement companies that are ethical, and Platinum is one of them. Now, whether or not your individual horse needs their products or not is up to you.

Β Thank you Win.

This is so true and important! Platinum Performance is a member of NASC, along with these other supplement companies:

http://nasc.cc/members/

You'll see Platinum Performance, Med Vet Pharm, Silver Lining Herbs, and a few others.

I didn't know this is existed, thank you for sharing! All the companies I typically buy supplements from are on that list, so that makes me happy. At least I'm getting what I'm paying for.

There is one NOT on the list who refuses to be a member. . . After hearing that news, I pretty much steer clear of those products. It's a challenge to find ingredients on their website also.

If you like Platinum but don't like the cost, you could try Equine Catalyst. I love it and many people in our part of the world are using it now! You can research it on their website www.equinecatalyst.com.

Lil_Pony35 - 2017-01-24 1:51 PM I really want to use PP CJ because I LOVE all the amino acids vitamins and minerals but how does everyone justify the price??? Especially for 3 horses.

pick your favorite.
