| Looking at a nice 8 year old gelding. Bred well and looks great. His only hole is he has a parrot mouth. I have owned one before and he was absolutely just fine but is each one different ??? What do you think ?? |

| It depends on how bad it is. My sister has a gelding that is pretty parrot mouthed. When he was young it didn't affect him too much, but she really kept up with his dental work, at least twice a year. Now that he is older, he is having a hard time staying fat, but she has gotten a little lax with his teeth the last couple years due to her job. |

Flit, the gelding I am talking about is really bad, she had to geld him before the vet would do surgery, kinda like braces. He was doing good and then about a month out, he did something and just destroyed the vet's work. We were told this could happen. I just wanted to let you know his is pretty bad. I don't think I said that in my above post. |

Location: Montana | Its an undesirable trait, but since its a he, he won't pass it on to any offspring. If its easily maintained by routine dental work, and if it doesn't affect him, it wouldn't scare me off. |

Location: "...way down south in the Everglades..." | Unless he has legit eating problems, it wouldn't phase me one bit for a gelding. A mare it would make me think a bit more but not even necessarily be a deal breaker depending on how bad it was. |
