My power was $545 for one month
(one person in Ontario
). Just put in a propane furnace so I wouldn't have to use electric along with my wood heat. Wood stove alone can't keep up with my house. A week and a half supply - 100lbs tank cost $89 for me going to get it filled. I can't get the bullet tank put in until spring. Ground is too frozen and we have too much snow. Hopefully it saves some money on the power bill to make up for the extra cost. Over winter already...
I guess you can tack it to the $40,000 in home improvements I've done this year to try and cut costs and conserve.

Yikes! I won't ever complain about my $60 to $90 a month natural gas bill ever again.

I hope to hell people here in the U.S. realize that the progressives will never let go of their mission to impose a carbon tax on us.

I'm burning some left over from logging last winter. I kept some back split it myself and am using that. It goes for $1200 plus trucking on average a tandem load though. Not cheap either and that's usually green. Cut and split it is around $90 a face cord

This whole thing just blows my mind...
My old flat bed Farm Truck runs on Propane as well as gas. I put an attachment on our tank and fill my truck that way. Pump was $500. Worth it to not pay tax when I fill my truck... I can't imagine paying that tax....
Does ab have a minimum wage set? I'm trying to figure out how people afford this...

How is this even affordable... I can't imagine....
My propane tank is only for our hot water heater. $100 was added back in July and I still have yet to refill it...
The rest of our tiny home is electric. Β When old faithful goes out we will switch to a tankless -electric hotwater heater.Β
In your opinion mruggles, how do you think this will play out??? Do you think people will find other ways to heat their homes? Is that even an option in ab? Surely there are more cost efficient ways than to pay that tax! Wow...
The carbon tax got put on all fossil fuels and electric along with sales
tax and what ever other fees the government take from us. If you lived up here and had electric everything your bill would be upwards of $1000 a month I bet if not closer to $1500 with you conserving as much as possible. I had a geothermal furnace with backup electric and I was paying $750 plus a month too... It was supposed to be energy efficient. I would jump on natural gas if I could; but there is no line near my house and my options are limited.
