The Reiner 5 Star Saddle Pad - feedback wanted please
Location: NE Texas
Have finally saved my pennies to get a 5 Star. Woot-woot!
Looking at available 5 Star styles, I noticed "The Reiner". I understand that it allows for closer contact due to the "butter fly" shape cut out
(similar to SPH pad styles
). I am curious to know any feedback on those that have tried The Reiner versus The Performer
(or any that don't have the cut out
). Is it really any different than the regular shape? It's priced the same as the Performer so I'm at a snag in my ordering process.

Awaiting any feedback - I'm ready to order!!!!

Talk to Rockyroad on here {Deanna} she can give you the answers you are looking for. I use 5 Stars but never bought a reiner pad, but I'm sure that with what pad you choose you will be happy with it. You can order what ever size you need I have added a half inch to a inch in lenght and width to some of the pads that I have bought, thats what I love about 5 Stars you can custom the sizes..

i bought a used reiner pad thought it would be ok for my ranch cutter, nope. i resold it. it was cut up too high by the dee rings and the pad didn't come down long enough to keep the cinch dees off the horse. Now i don't know if that is really that important but to me, I don't want any dees agitating my horse. So I just went and ordered what i really needed from deanna the 32 x 32

We had one and it really only worked with one saddle we had. Like someone else said, it didn't come down far enough for other saddles and it was soooo long. If you had a horse with even a normal back it just looked funny and would stick out past their hip.
