They said she was a "Rising Rodeo Star" and he shot her in the head -- after, supposedly, according to the article, 'after she glared at him'

When I read the news item I didn't see the date--the news article just showedup on my pc this morning and I wasn't aware it had happened a while back--I thought it happened recently and thought it really strange that it was so similar to the Minn. barrel racer being shot--thanks for clarifying it |

The arrest was made on June 10th.. So going on a year since this one happen.. |

She didn't say anything about getting the 2 confused. From what I read, she just seemed surprised that another young lady had been killed by a boyfriend, but just didn't realize that the Colorado one had happened last year. She just thought the 2 had happened fairly close (in time) to each other. |
