Would you run a horse that has a hematoma on the front of the gaskin?  She isn't showing any lameness, soreness, or any other indicator that she even knows it's there.  She exercises fine, long trot several miles, lope circles, walks in the pasture all day...  I've dealt with one before this but it was bad and had to have a drain put in right on the shoulder so there was definitely no riding or competing on that one.

Location: Bastrop, Texas		How long has it been there? How did she get it? Is it getting smaller? A hematoma typically means there's some sort of underlying soft tissue injury. If it's been there for several weeks and she has absolutely no tenderness, I don't see why not, but on the other hand, what's the rush?

Location: 31 lengths farms		A friend had a mare that had one, got kicked as a yearling. Everyone said leave it alone... Then it turned hard. Took her in and found it had "calcified " , had to have it removed, about the size and thickness of a dinner plate.
