Went to get my nice TC senior today and feed store told me all of their stock was recalled for a milling issue and their was no expected production date. I was totally caught off guard. I was told it was an issue with vitamin mineral content and nothing dangerous. Any feed already sold is safe to feed, etc.

Anyway, I need feed so I bought couple bags of pro force fuel. Nutrena is not my favorite BUT I fed the proforce couple years ago with great results. I was just curious if anyone was still feeding it?! Thanks !

This store carries LMF as well but the formulas they had just were not what I was looking for. I want a high fat High Fiber feed. Most of LMF was really low in Fat. Thanks! I think it should be fine. I put a call and emails in to TC and I hope they respond soon.

Hello Everyone,

The senior feed is available again. The store just needs to place an order for more feed if they haven't done so already. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Can you please tell why the Triple Crown had a recall on their feed?

Yup sure, I talked to the rep this morning. According to one feed test, the vitamin/mineral amount on the test EXCEEDED what was printed and guaranteed on the bag. Not a problem for the horses but they pulled the bags from stores from the lot that was tested. They sent samples to two other labs and found the feed was CORRECT for how it was labeled. It was a false test by the first lab. And the feed is headed back to stores this week.

I've fed Pro Force Fuel for several years now. First to my barrel horses and now my broodmare. Have had absolutely no issues and my horses have always looked and felt fantastic.
