Do you prefer the regular hock boots or the padded ones? I've heard the regular ones will rub the hair off, and the padded ones slide down. I don't have boots for the back legs yet, only the front.

I have the regular ones and only used them a few times, but they stayed in place and didn't rub the hair off. Supposedly they can burn the hair off of you leave them on too long, which is why they recommend you start with one hour at first and increase time...

The regular ones. I use quick wraps on the back to prevent them from slipping down. I've never had the regular ones rub hair off :

I have the regular ones. I've never had them rub hair off and have used them on several horses and usually keep them on overnight if I'm using them on a horse regularly.

Regular ones. No issues with them rubbing hair off or slipping down.
