| I have them but have never used them. It's too hot in the southeast! |

Location: North Dakota | I use a Weatherbeeta airflow mesh fly sheet and fly boots called Shoo-Fly leggings. The fly sheet breathes well and keeps the majority of bugs off. Mosquitoes can get pretty bad here, and my horses would welt up from the bites. Any time I pull the sheet to ride, I notice few, if any bite marks.
I will never go another summer without the fly boots. They are amazing. They look like they wouldn't work, and flies would just fly down into the opening, but they don't. My horses are 100% happier when they have them on. |

Location: Oklahoma | I use a Kensington fly sheet on mine. Fly boots for me don't work out in pasture. |

Location: WI | YES! Mine is out on pasture 24/7, so mine typically only last 1 season. I use the Amigo fly sheets and Shoo-fly leggins. Both are all mesh. |

Location: Central Texas | We live east of Austin, TX in the sauna country. I tried fly sheets last year, since my horses get itchy and are miserable during the summer here. Did not work, horses were still driven crazy by the flys and bugs and then when the muggy summer hit full force, well, the horses were too hot. I fly-sprayed them daily and had fly sheetes on them. Those poor horses were in misery wearing the fly sheets. I have no idea what to do for them this year. So I'd say it depends on where you live, if they work or not. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | Huge difference but what kind depends on where you live. I'm in WY so have more options because we aren't humid. I use a Kensington UV protective sheet. |

Location: Where the long tails flow, ND | I have Rambo fly sheets and Shoo Fly Leggins. I have a mare that will go bat S* crazy over bugs so she lives in hers all summer. All my horses have Shoo Fly Leggin's as well and live in them- they stay on great! |

I'm in the same boat. I live east Texas. I want to put a fly sheet on mine but they just sweat and are way too hot. We also have the problem with the "summer itch", but I think it's caused from tiny gnats. They itch and lose hair, it's not rain rot. I would love to protect them from all that. I may try the Shoo-Fly leggings to protect at least their legs. |

Location: North Dakota | Amigo bug busters with shoo fly leggins! They cover almost everything and are nice light weight material so the horses stay cool.

| Can anyone tell me how the Kensington fly sheets seem to fit and be? I too worry about the muggy summers, but late summer our flies are horrrible along with skeeters. |
