Elite Veteran Posts: 795 Location: GODS country	I just got a 3 year old that stands 14.2 right now and string tested to be 15. She is a granddaughter of DTF top and granddaughter of DFP bottom, so I was not expecting her to be short/small! She is very heavy boned and decent thickness. Anyone else have a shorter/smaller 3 year old? I don't plan to Juvy her or futurity until she is 5.

Expert Posts: 5290	My 3 year old was pretty little first of the year. I would guess 14.2 or so and weighed 950 pounds. THen as soon as spring came and he got better groceries, HOLY MOLY... He shot Streight up!! He is 15.1 and just weighed in at 1124 pounds... I guess he just had to hit that growth spurt. My vet said with his bone and how leggy he is, easily will be 1250 and 16hh in a year when he is 4. I LOVE big stout horses.

Expert Posts: 2489 Location: somewhere up north	Our typically do a LOT of growing between their 3-5 year olds years. Especially from 3-4.
