The annual family vacation is coming up! This year we're invading Wimberley TX to float down the Blanco a few hundred thousand times. Can't wait. It's one of the favorite places on the planet.
So, TX folks, what should I put on my list? Any places I MUST see?
Is there any good tack stores within a couple hours?
It's my husbands first time there so I'll be dragging him to San Antonio one day and to San Marcos to see Jason Boland
(swoon
) one night but if I leave it up to him he'll sit in his lawn chair in the middle of the river all week long.
Plan my vacation BHW!

Gruene TX--antique shops, dance hall which is a family affair
Schlitterbahn New Braunfels
Luckenbach--old train tunnel and other things.
Sea world in SanAntonio and of course the Alamo
Go to traveltexas.com and request a State Travel Guide. They are free and pretty cool too

yep this pretty much covers it
and then theres D&D in Seguin if you want to check it out, it carrys tack, saddles and now they made it into more of a clothing store and put in a top floor. If I need some type of tack I will run into the store to get what I need if I can find it there. And in Gruene theres a few good places to eat at, Gruene is a really neat place to go, we go eat supper there sometimes during the off season. Got the oldest dance hall there to, if your into dancing. And if you do go to San Antoino you have got to go check out the Missions there, they are so cool and so much history... And the River Walk, you cant miss the River Walk, lol..And the Zoo too, its a really great place..And my favorite thing to do is walk around the city by foot so many neat bulidings to see and they have the haunted tours in the inter city. I have been wanting to go on one of these tours, lol..And they have the horse/carriages tours too.

Oooh I love Gruene Hall. I'll have to bring my dad so he'll actually dance with me. My husband does not dance in public and we should all be thankful.
Counting down the work days!

Wheeler's in Boerne is one of the best tack/clothing/horse trailers in Texas. It's right off of I-10. Skip D&D and check this one out.
The Caverns and wildlife drive thru park in New Braunfels is neat plus while in New Braunfels you can float down the Comal or the Guadalupe River.
